This year, workers will receive a bonus of R$1,400. This announcement came after representatives of workers and employers reached an agreement on salaries for 2023/2024. Employers will make the payment together with salaries for the coming months.

Last Monday (04), Fecomércio do Rio de Janeiro and the Union of Employees in Commerce of Rio de Janeiro ratified the Collective Agreement of the segment. In this way, the group will obtain a salary adjustment and an increase in its benefits.

Considering that the base date for the increase is May 2023, employees in the segment will also receive a bonus of R$$ 300, corresponding to the period from May to August of the current year. The new salary came into effect on September 1.

Workers will earn bonus + 4.5% increase

According to the Collective Agreement, retail employees will have an increase of 4.5% in their salaries compared to the salaries of October 2022. Therefore, those who started their activities after May 1, 2022 will receive the adjustment and bonus proportional to the months worked.

Commissioned employees will receive a R$3,83% increase in their salaries from May to August. Employers must make this payment by October of the current year. On the other hand, non-commissioned employees will receive a bonus of R$$ 300 divided into two parts of R$$ 150, paid in September and October. On the other hand, professionals who started their work from May 1, 2023, will not receive the bonus.

Therefore, due to the agreement that established the salary adjustment and the payment of the bonus, the salary levels for the category are:

  • Single track: R$ 1.504;
  • Commissioned: R$ 1,653;
  • Trial period and young apprentices: R$ 1,352.
  • The benefits have also changed
  • Snack/dinner on working Saturdays: R$ 29;
  • Family Social Support: R$ 17;
  • Cash compensation: R$ 66;
  • Child allowance: R$ 236 (organizations with up to 50 employees) and R$ 261 (entities with more than 50 employees);
  • Workers can take their children under 8 years of age to the doctor once every six months without deductions from their salary.
