Due to severe drought in the Amazon region, the federal government announced last Wednesday (4) the early payment of the Bolsa Família benefit and the BPC (Continuous Cash Benefit).
Despite this, the early payment applies only to municipalities in Amazonas affected by the drought. The measure aims to minimize the impacts of the drought in the region. In other words, the other regions of Brazil will follow the normal payment schedule.

Who will receive Bolsa Família early?
Fifty-five municipalities in Amazonas will receive payments early. All these municipalities had a state of emergency declared by Governor Wilson Lima. Thus, withdrawals will be available starting October 19.
Therefore, these people will not follow the official schedule set for October, which means that regardless of the NIS number, the withdrawal will be available.
Who is entitled to Bolsa Família?
This is a federal government benefit for families in situations of social vulnerability. Therefore, certain requirements must be met to receive it, such as:
- Prenatal care for pregnant women;
- School attendance for children and adolescents between 4 and 17 years old;
- Nutritional monitoring of children up to 7 years old;
- Up-to-date vaccination schedule.
Therefore, if you meet the requirements listed above, you can register with CadÚnico and start receiving the benefit payments.

Some families will receive the payment in advance, as mentioned before. However, if you are not part of this group of people, check the full schedule for Bolsa Família in October:
- NIS ending in 1 – October 18;
- NIS ending in 2 – October 19;
- NIS ending in 3 – October 20;
- NIS ending in 4 – October 23;
- NIS ending in 5 – October 24;
- NIS ending in 6 – October 25;
- NIS ending in 7 – October 26;
- NIS ending in 8 – October 27;
- NIS ending in 9 – October 30;
- Final NIS 0 – October 31.
