How can I access the Auxílio Gás funds?
The Auxílio Gás benefit is deposited into a digital bank account provided by the account holder. However, if the beneficiary does not have an account, it is possible to quickly and freely create a Caixa digital savings account.
The person who receives the amount is the head of the family, preferably a woman, who must be indicated when registering for the benefit. For those who receive the BPC (Continuous Cash Benefit), payment will be made to the benefit holder or their legal representative.
What is the benefit amount?
Currently, Auxílio Gás covers 100% of the average price of the 13kg gas cylinder, but it is important to note that this amount may vary depending on each Brazilian's city. In addition, the idea of covering the full cost of cooking gas took effect after the constitutional amendment that increased the amount of social benefits.
In other words, the amount of the Aid became twice what it was. However, in 2024, according to information from Agência Brasil, the benefit will return to being half the average price of the gas cylinder.
