Some Brazilians are unaware, but they may be able to withdraw more than R$1,000 through the Caixa Tem app.
August has arrived, and with it come the next payments through Caixa Tem. According to the Ministry of Social Development, Family and Hunger Combat, confirmation of payments in programs such as Bolsa Família and the National Gas Aid is in effect.
The base amount received through Bolsa Família is R$600 per family. However, this amount may be adjusted according to various conditions. Below is a list of factors that can increase this amount, potentially even exceeding R$1,000.

What can increase Bolsa Família
- Larger families
Bolsa Família grants a minimum of R$600. This amount, however, may increase according to the number of people in the household. The larger the family, the higher the amount paid.
In practice, amounts increase when there are more than four people. A family of 8, for example, will receive R$1,136 through Caixa Tem.
- Additional benefits
Besides family size, an additional factor is the bonuses provided by the government. Participating families may receive an extra R$150 for each child from zero to six years old.
The government also pays an extra R$ 50 per child between seven and 18 years old. There are R$ 50 extras for families with pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Combining the amounts
Based on the previous information, it is possible to calculate how much will be received in Caixa Tem in August. Example of a family of six:
- A 40-year-old man;
- A 35-year-old pregnant woman;
- A 60-year-old woman;
- A 70-year-old elderly man;
- A 17-year-old young man;
- A six-year-old child.
In this example, multiplying six by 142, the total is 852. Thus, they will receive R$ 852 in August.
Additional amounts are:
- 35-year-old pregnant woman = R$ 50 extra;
- 17-year-old young man = R$ 50 extra;
- Six-year-old child = R$ 150 extra.
- In total, this family will receive R$ 1,052 through Caixa Tem in August.
How to use it
The Bolsa Família payment is made into a single account on the date set by the official calendar. It can be used at home.
With the Caixa Tem app, it is possible to pay bills, send money to other banks, or create codes for withdrawals at lottery outlets, ATMs, and Caixa Aqui agents.
