Action plan to overcome vulnerability through Bolsa Família
To achieve this goal, action plans are needed that involve individuals experiencing hunger in Brazil, especially those living in poverty or extreme poverty. This group benefits the most from the social program.
Therefore, new amounts were established for the program, guaranteeing minimum payments of R$600 to beneficiaries. In addition, the Federal Government also ensured the possibility of receiving an additional amount, depending on the number of family members.
For children aged 0 to 6, an additional R$150 will be approved. For children aged 7 to under 18, pregnant women and nursing mothers, the Federal Government approved an additional R$50 per eligible member. And when will the payment be made?
Receipt in June
The program makes monthly deposits to beneficiaries. Thus, Bolsa Família works as a form of remuneration. For the month of June, individuals included in the program should be aware of the announced dates, especially those provided by the financial institution Caixa Econômica Federal, responsible for the payments.
Starting on 19/06, Bolsa Família beneficiaries should check their accounts associated with the program. This is because this month's payments will begin on 19/06 for those whose Social Identification Number (NIS) ends in 1. Check the calendar below:

Concern about the return of the Bolsa Família waiting list
Nearly ninety days after the reintroduction of Bolsa Família, an initiative highlighted by Workers' Party administrations, a waiting list was recorded once again. In May, 438,000 families had their applications approved by the government but did not receive the benefit.
This goes against the government's expectation of keeping the waiting list empty until December. This occurred after Congress approved a Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC)
, which allocated R$70 billion to the social program for this year, in addition to the R$105 billion initially provided for in the Budget.
In March, during a ceremony at the Planalto Palace attended by ministers, civil society representatives, and beneficiary families, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) announced the elimination of the waiting list. However, the list began to grow again soon afterward.
A family enters the waiting list when its documents are reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance. Therefore, the list includes only those who meet the requirements and are ready to receive the benefit.
When contacted, the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance did not provide explanations about the reasons why these families are not included in the program. The agency, led by Wellington Dias (PT), released only a statement with general information. According to the MDS, the average time for new beneficiaries to enter the program is 70 days, exceeding two months. For “vulnerable families”, classified by the ministry as “Indigenous people, quilombolas, people rescued from situations similar to slavery, among others”, the period is 45 days.
