Those included in this Bolsa Família segment will be able to access the benefit early. See the details!
Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) traditionally releases Bolsa Família payments during the last 15 days of each month; daily, a different group receives benefits according to the last digit of the Social Identification Number (NIS).
However, due to the recent floods that affected the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the population in this area will receive the Bolsa Família payment on the initial compensation date, September 18, regardless of their NIS.

Calculation of Bolsa Família amounts
The Ministry of Social Development (MDS) establishes various criteria to determine the amount each beneficiary family will receive. Thus, the Citizenship Income Benefit guarantees a payment of R$ 142 per member.
Therefore, if the number of family members does not reach a total of R$ 600, the Complementary Benefit activates this minimum amount. In addition, pregnant women and individuals between 7 and 18 years old receive an extra R$ 50.
Finally, if there are children up to six years old in the family, the benefit includes an additional R$ 150 per child. Therefore, the amount of Bolsa Família varies according to the particular needs of each family assisted by the program.
September adjustments
In addition to the advance payment for those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, CEF will adjust some payment dates. See the reorganization of this month's schedule:
