In September of this year, the Central Bank scheduled tests of the digital real in partnership with Elo and Microsoft. This initiative will undoubtedly modernize financial transactions. As a result, Rita Serrano, president of Caixa Econômica Federal, stated that, in the near future, the federal government may distribute social assistance, including Bolsa Família, through tokenized currency.

Thus, Caixa is part of the digital real pilot project which, in Serrano's words, could optimize and improve housing finance. In February 2024, the Central Bank intends to test this new currency in National Treasury bonds.

At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance (MDS) announced a new detailed review of Bolsa Família. As many already know, this process aims to stop payments to those whose data is inconsistent or who violate any established rules.

Since February, more than one million individuals have faced the suspension of program benefits. In July, this figure reached 934,000 beneficiaries. When suspicious activities are detected, the government has the authority to interrupt payments.

To ensure that payments continue, it is crucial to keep your records updated in Cadastro Único and comply with all required criteria. Finally, to check the current status of the benefit, simply use the Cadastro Único app (available for iOS and Android).
