THE Federal Savings Bank is in full swing with the October installment payments of the Family Allowance for countless Brazilian beneficiaries. This Thursday (19) marks the day when another group of subscribers to the country's most significant income transfer program accesses the allocated amount.
Caixa began payments yesterday (18), indicating that this phase of transfers has only just begun. In essence, payments take place in Last 10 business days of each month, following the last digit of the Social Identification Number (NIS) of the beneficiaries. In this way, each business day, a different group can access the amount in their accounts.

Today, Thursday (19), it is the turn of the beneficiaries with NIS ending in 2, who now receive the new installment of Family Allowance. They can check the value in the app Has Box. However, if you choose to withdraw the amount, you can go to any bank branch to carry out the transaction.

In short, the NIS helps the Federal Government recognize citizens who enjoy social benefits in Brazil. Therefore, it is crucial to keep documentation and updates up to date to avoid interruptions in Family Allowance.
Caixa still has eight payments scheduled for this month. Families included in these groups should be alert to ensure access to the amount as soon as it is available.
Amounts distributed by Bolsa Família
Basically, families registered with Bolsa Família have different configurations, such as the number of dependents and their ages. Consequently, each registered person receives a specific amount.
In fact, the program covers several benefits that stipulate the amount that each beneficiary receives. This is because the government seeks to include all registrants in their unique circumstances, aiming for the inclusion of everyone.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that the aids are cumulative, allowing registrants to receive multiple, as long as they meet the conditions of each one. Below, see the aids of Family Allowance in October:
1- Citizenship Income Benefit
The rule establishes a payment of R$ 142 for each family member registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico). In this way, the R$ 142 is multiplied by the number of family members.
For example, a family of five members earns R$1,710 per month (R$1,42 x 5 = R$1,420). If the family has ten members, the amount reaches R$1,420 (R$1,42 x 10 = R$1,420). This indicates that the Bolsa Família amount may exceed the current minimum wage (R$1,320), depending on the size of the family.
2- Supplementary Benefit
Considering the Citizenship Income Benefit, families with only one member would only receive R$142 per month. However, the government has set the minimum amount of Bolsa Família at R$600.
In order to ensure this amount of R$ 600 to all registered individuals, the federal government increases the benefit amount for several beneficiaries. This increase applies to families of up to four members, who would have a maximum amount of R$ 568 (R$ 142 x 4 = R$ 568) monthly, through the Supplementary Benefit.
3- Early Childhood Benefit
Starting in March 2023, the government began making payments of R$150 for children up to six years old. Therefore, families with children up to six years and a few months old are receiving this extra amount, contributing to the increase in the monthly amount of Bolsa Família.
4- Family Variable Benefit
The national government guarantees an increase of R$ 50 for children and adolescents aged seven to 18, and also for pregnant and breastfeeding women who are part of the family.
5- Variable Family Benefit for Nursing Mothers
Since September this year, the government has decided to grant an extra R$ 50 to members of families with babies up to seven months old. Therefore, these families receive an increase to expand care for newborns.
6- Extraordinary Transition Benefit
The central purpose of this benefit is to ensure that all Bolsa Família beneficiaries receive an amount equal to or greater than that of the previous program (Auxílio Brasil).
In conclusion, the amounts of all benefits are consolidated on the same payment date as Bolsa Família. Therefore, those eligible for benefits receive the amounts according to the calendar of Brazil's main social project.
7- Gas Aid

In addition to the benefits mentioned, we have the Auxílio Gás, which resumed its payments in October, after a brief interruption in the previous month. The government has committed to granting this aid to more than 5.5 million people in October. In this way, many families will be able to accumulate all of these benefits, and the total amount of Bolsa Família could be significantly higher than R$$ 600 for many households.
Finally, the amounts for all these benefits are credited on the same date as the Bolsa Família payment. In this way, eligible beneficiaries receive the amounts according to the schedule of the most relevant Brazilian social program.
