Bolsa Família is a social program aimed at people in situations of social vulnerability. Thus, payments are made every month, and the October calendar has already been defined.
This month, the schedule begins on October 18, as does the bimonthly Auxílio Gás benefit. In addition, in October some families will receive their payment before the scheduled date; check the details.

Bolsa Família October calendar
As mentioned earlier, some families will receive the benefit early, and the reason for this is the severe drought in the Amazon region. Therefore, in an effort to minimize the effects of the situation, the federal government announced this early payment.
Therefore, 55 municipalities will benefit from this initiative and will be able to withdraw the amount on the 18th, regardless of the final NIS number.
The remaining families, who are not part of the list of municipalities, will follow the following schedule:
- NIS ending in 1 – October 18;
- NIS ending in 2 – October 19;
- NIS ending in 3 – October 20;
- NIS ending in 4 – October 23;
- NIS ending in 5 – October 24;
- NIS ending in 6 – October 25;
- NIS ending in 7 – October 26;
- NIS ending in 8 – October 27;
- NIS ending in 9 – October 30;
- Final NIS 0 – October 31.
Where will I receive the amount?
Bolsa Família is deposited into the Digital Social Savings Account, which allows beneficiaries to manage the amount through the Caixa Tem app (Android and iOS). Therefore, Brazilians do not need to leave home to access the money.
Another advantage is that it is possible to use Caixa’s virtual card to shop at supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, and other stores.
Who can receive Bolsa Família?
Bolsa Família requires a few things in order to deposit the payments, namely:
- School attendance for children and adolescents aged 4 to 17;
- Prenatal care for pregnant women;
- Nutritional monitoring for children up to 7 years old;
- Up-to-date vaccination schedule.
In addition, it is important to report the status of being a beneficiary of the social program when enrolling children in school and when vaccinating them at the health center.
