A credit of R$1.5 thousand is expected in December! As the year draws to a close, many families await the traditional Christmas bonus intended for certain segments of the Brazilian population. This additional amount is meant to support workers and also boost the national economy.
In this context, rumors are circulating that, in December, the Executive Branch intends to release R$ 1.5 thousand to several Brazilian citizens. It is believed that this Christmas bonus could be linked to Bolsa Família, indicating that more than 20 million people could receive this amount.

But will the Christmas bonus really be granted?
Information indicates that the Executive Branch of Espírito Santo intended to release this bonus to state employees, scheduled for December 12. However, upon being contacted, the state agency responsible for Human Resources management denied this information.
This confusion may have originated from the fact that, last year, the State actually gave its employees a bonus of R$ 1.5 thousand. At that time, more than 70 thousand professionals benefited.
However, expectations indicate that the only payment to employees will be the remaining amount of the thirteenth salary, and not in the form of an “extra bonus”.
Will Bolsa Família receive a Christmas bonus?
Alongside the previous rumor, rumors emerged that Bolsa Família beneficiaries would also receive the mentioned amount. However, it is important to emphasize that the assistance provided by this program is strictly welfare-based.
Only those who receive benefits linked to Social Security are eligible for Bolsa Família. Although there are proposals in Congress to add a Christmas bonus to the social benefit, none of them have been approved so far. This means that, in 2023, Bolsa Família beneficiaries will not receive any bonus or thirteenth salary.
Other assistance programs are also expecting the amount
Similar questions arise about other government benefits, such as BPC (Continuous Cash Benefit). Many expect a bonus or a thirteenth salary.
However, as it is also an assistance benefit, releasing this amount is not feasible. Furthermore, the current Government does not have sufficient funds to implement this measure.
Thus, we hope that, soon, it will be possible to extend the Christmas bonus and the thirteenth salary to other benefits outside the social security context.

Amid this situation, Bolsa Família beneficiaries are eagerly awaiting the next deposits into their Caixa Tem accounts. Fortunately, the payment dates have already been set. Check the schedule below, remembering that payments are made according to the final NIS digit:
- For NIS ending in 1: Payment on October 18;
- For NIS ending in 2: Payment on October 19;
- For NIS ending in 3: Payment on October 20;
- For NIS ending in 4: Payment on October 23;
- For NIS ending in 5: Payment on October 24;
- For NIS ending in 6: Payment on October 25;
- For NIS ending in 7: Payment on October 26;
- For NIS ending in 8: Payment on October 27;
- For NIS ending in 9: Payment on October 30;
- For NIS ending in 0: Payment on October 31.
