The Return of Bolsa Família
Lula reintroduced Bolsa Família, formerly Auxílio Brasil at R$ 600. The goal is to generate jobs and income, enabling access to the 13th salary.
“We seek socioeconomic inclusion, employment, and entrepreneurship for a stable income. With employment, there is a right to a salary, 13th salary, vacation, and more”, said the minister.
Possible Changes to Bolsa Família
When asked about changes, the Minister stated that the focus is on maintaining the objectives, guaranteeing R$ 600 plus R$ 150 per child under 6 years old.
Bolsa Família Amount
The minimum payment is R$ 600 per family. Bolsa Família amounts vary according to family composition, as described:
- Citizenship Income Benefit (BRC): R$ 142 per person;
- Early Childhood Benefit (BPI): R$ 150 for families with children from 0 to 6 years old;
- Complementary Benefit (BCO): for smaller families to reach R$ 600;
- Family Variable Benefit: R$50 per eligible member, including pregnant women and children and young people (7 to 18 years old).
