Bolsa Família: MDS announced crucial dates
MDS presented the Bolsa Família operational calendar, setting deadlines for updating records and resolving outstanding issues.
In particular, single individuals had until October 13 to update their records. If the update took place after that date or has not yet been completed, the cancellation occurred on October 31.
Now, let’s address different scenarios related to Bolsa Família for single individuals and how to resolve possible issues.
Individuals who updated BEFORE October 13
If you updated and digitized your documents at CRAS before October 13, rest assured: MDS validated your information on October 31, and you will receive the payment in November, between the 17th and 30th.
Individuals who updated AFTER October 13
Those who updated their records at CRAS after October 13 received a cancellation notification, either through the app or by SMS.
The question that arises is: do I need to go back to CRAS? No. If you have already updated and digitized all the documents, simply follow the detailed instructions in this article.
Individuals who did NOT update
If you have not yet completed the update, go to CRAS to digitize proof of address, your CPF, and a photo ID, in addition to signing the liability statement.
When doing so, ask CRAS to reverse the cancellation. If this is feasible, you may be on the December payroll.
New rule for individuals in Bolsa Família
In September, MDS issued Ordinance 911, stipulating that, of the total number of Bolsa Família families, only 16% may consist of single-person households per municipality.
If you are already a beneficiary and comply with all the rules, do not worry. However, municipalities that exceed the 16% limit will not be able to add new individual beneficiaries.

How to resolve the cancellation of Bolsa Família?
It is recommended that you contact MDS support by calling 121, via chat, or Telegram. If everything is correct with your documents and your benefit is still canceled, consider returning to CRAS to request the reversal. After the reversal, you may be on the December payroll.
