Currently, the Auxílio Gás Nacional benefits around 5 million families living in socioeconomic vulnerability. Thus, the benefit is paid every two months through the CAIXA Tem app (available for Android and iOS) so that beneficiaries can purchase a 13 kg gas cylinder.

Therefore, the amount of the Auxílio Gás Nacional is updated every two months, as it corresponds to the national average gas price, calculated by the Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP). Who is entitled to the Auxílio Gás Nacional?

Therefore, to be entitled to the Auxílio Gás Nacional payment, it is necessary to meet the following requirements:

• Be registered with the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico);
• Monthly family income of up to half the minimum wage (R$ 706) per person or total family income of up to three minimum wages (R$ 4,236).

In addition, it is important to point out that families enrolled in Bolsa Família or receiving the Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) have priority in receiving the benefit.
