An agreement was established between Caixa Econômica Federal and the Regional Electoral Court of Bahia (TRE-BA), which will enable users to access important electoral services through the state-owned bank’s app. The Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed in Brasília last Wednesday (7).

With the agreement signed, voters in Bahia will be able to check their electoral status, polling place, and electoral clearance. In addition, the public will be able to access virtual assistance in case of questions.
Agreement signed between TRE-BA and Caixa
Rita Serrano, president of Caixa, and Roberto Maynard Frank, president of the Regional Electoral Court of Bahia, signed the document, explaining that the initiative is part of the “TRE Everywhere” project.
There is no burden on public coffers in the collaboration between the parties, which is valid until 2026. In fact, the president of Caixa said that cooperation with TRE-BA “increases access to electoral services” and helps raise people's awareness “of the role of the Electoral Justice system in the country’s democracy”.
In addition, Serrano emphasized that the partnership increases the relevance of Caixa’s digital channels, since, according to her, these tools are increasingly aligned with the people who use them every day to handle important day-to-day matters.
Services available in the bank’s app
Users from Bahia and other locations can currently access various services, such as checking their balance and statements, payments, transfers, and Pix, through the Caixa app (available for Android and iOS). It is also possible to make investments and take out loans.
However, to use the bank's app, the person must register and create an access password. The device must also be registered and a transaction password created. It is worth noting that, through the account, it is possible to receive salaries, FGTS advances, PIS, among others.
