How much will I receive from Gas Aid this month?
It is important to note that the current value of the Gas Aid covers 100% of the average price of a 13kg cylinder, and may vary according to the city in which each Brazilian lives. The idea of covering the full cost of cooking gas came into effect after the constitutional amendment that increased social benefits.
In this way, the value of the gas benefit was doubled. However, the plans for next year are different: according to information from Agência Brasil, in 2024 the benefit will return to being worth only half the average price of the gas cylinder.
How do I know if I am entitled to the benefit?
See below who can receive the benefit from the federal government:
- Subscribers to CadÚnico;
- Families that include people who receive BPC (Continuous Benefit Payment);
- Families with per capita income less than or equal to half the minimum wage.
Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that families that have women who are victims of domestic violence and are under protective measures are a priority.
