JOY FOR BENEFICIARIES! Bolsa Família Announces BONUS in October Payment!

Great news for Bolsa Família beneficiaries! The government has announced an extra payment for October, adding a substantial increase to the benefit amount.

Bolsa Família Updates

The latest update of Bolsa Família grants an extra financial benefit to beneficiaries. Starting in October, in addition to the standard amount, beneficiaries will be able to count on an additional R$$ 50.

This change is part of a series of modifications that Bolsa Família has undergone since March, under the leadership of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. With these changes, approximately 21 million beneficiaries have received benefits.

Stable and Complementary Installment

The standard Bolsa Família amount is now R$600. In addition, since March, the government has provided an extra R$150 for up to two children aged zero to six.

This indicates that families can obtain amounts between R$ 600, R$ 750 and R$ 900. With the extra R$ 50, the final Bolsa Família payment can reach almost R$ 1 thousand.

Supplement for Young People, Pregnant Women and Breastfeeding Women

The R$ 50 supplement is intended for young people aged seven to 18, pregnant women and breastfeeding women. However, it is vital to emphasize that these groups must meet specific education and health standards to access the additional benefit.

The family must have a monthly income of up to R$$ 218 per person to access the increase. In other words, the family's total income, divided by the number of members, must be less than R$$ 218.

Obligations in Health and Education

In addition to meeting the financial criteria, families must also meet obligations in the areas of health and education to access the benefit. This involves prenatal care, compliance with the national vaccination schedule, nutritional monitoring of children under seven years of age and minimum school attendance.

Federal Savings Bank and the New Bolsa Família

Caixa Econômica Federal manages Bolsa Família payments. The first installment, with the new additional R$ 50 for families with pregnant women and children aged 7 to 18, was made in June.

Minimum, Average and Maximum Benefit

The minimum benefit is R$ 600. However, with the new addition, the average benefit amount rises to R$ 705.40, the highest in the history of the program.

The total benefit amount can reach R$1,400 for those who qualify to receive both additional payments.

Impact of the New Bolsa Família

The renewed Bolsa Família has a considerable impact on the Brazilian economy. According to the Ministry of Development and Social Welfare, this month the federal government's income transfer program will reach 21.2 million families, with an expenditure of R$14.97 billion.

New Name and Minimum Assured Value

Since the beginning of the year, the social program has been renamed Bolsa Família. The minimum amount of R$600 was guaranteed after the approval of the Transitional Constitutional Amendment, which allowed the use of up to R$145 billion outside the spending cap this year, of which R$70 billion is earmarked to finance the benefit.

Start of the Protection Standard

Another innovation is the protection rule. Even if a family obtains employment and increases their income, the new rule allows them to remain in the program for up to two years, as long as each member receives the equivalent of up to half the minimum wage. In this situation, the family will receive 50% of the benefit amount to which they would be entitled.

Gas Aid: Another Relevant Benefit

The Gas Aid will also be granted this month to families registered with CadÚnico. With a value of R$1.4T 110 in October, the benefit follows the Bolsa Família calendar, constituting a vital addition to the budget of the favored families.

Confirmation of the additional payment in the Benefit represents a relief for millions of Brazilians who depend on this support. With the recent adaptations, the program is even more relevant and comprehensive, affecting a large group of beneficiaries and contributing significantly to the reduction of poverty and social inequalities in Brazil.
