How to withdraw PIS/Pasep quotas

If the taxpayer does not withdraw the amounts by August 5, Caixa Econômica Federal announced that the Severance Pay Guarantee Fund (FGTS) will forward the unsolicited funds to the National Treasury.

The request can be made online, without the need for the worker to be physically present at a Caixa branch. Therefore, to withdraw your share, first download the FGTS app (available for Android and iOS).

Then, access the app and select the message “You have available balance” on the main screen, if applicable. Then, simply click on “Request PIS/Pasep withdrawal”.

Next, choose the appropriate withdrawal type, such as credit to an account (from any bank) or withdrawal in person. Finally, the taxpayer must confirm the information and click on “Confirm withdrawal” to complete the process.

Withdrawal for heirs

Legal heirs of deceased workers must also access their respective FGTS application to receive the shares. Thus, they must request the withdrawal of the amounts in “My Withdrawals”. Then, click on “Other Withdrawal Situations”.
