Workers Have Stopped Withdrawing R$218 Million in PIS Since February

Since February, millions of workers have failed to withdraw a total of R$218 million from PIS (Social Integration Program).

Now let's understand what PIS is, who is entitled to withdraw it, how to check if there are funds available and what the procedures are for making a withdrawal.

THE Social Integration Program (PIS) is a benefit intended for Brazilian workers who work in the private sector.

Created with the aim of promoting the integration of employees into the life and development of the company, PIS works as a salary bonus, granting an annual amount to workers registered in the program.

Who is entitled to withdraw PIS?

To be entitled to withdrawal, the worker must meet certain requirements: requirements, such as having worked with a signed employment contract for at least 30 days in the base year, having received an average monthly salary of up to two minimum wages during the base year and having been registered with PIS for at least five years.

How to check if there are available values

To check if there are funds available for PIS withdrawal, workers can access the Caixa Econômica Federal website, enter their NIS (Social Identification Number) or CPF number and follow the instructions provided by the system. It is also possible to check the PIS balance through the Caixa Trabalhador app or by calling 0800 726 0207.

Procedures for withdrawing PIS

If there are funds available for withdrawal, the worker can go to a Caixa Econômica Federal branch with a photo ID and the NIS number.

Withdrawals can be made at ATMs, lottery outlets or directly at the service counter, depending on the amount available and Caixa's policies.

This is an important benefit for Brazilian workers, guaranteeing an additional amount at the end of the year. However, it is essential to be aware of the deadlines and requirements for withdrawal, to avoid the amounts remaining available and not being used.

Therefore, check if there are amounts available for withdrawal and be sure to withdraw your PIS, thus ensuring that you receive the benefit to which you are entitled.
