The dream of flying can finally become a reality for more Brazilians! The federal government has just announced the start date of the Fly Brazil, an innovative program that aims to democratize access to air travel, offering tickets at affordable prices to retirees with an income of up to two minimum wages and students who benefit from ProUni.
How does Voa Brasil work?
Unlike other programs that depend on public subsidies, Voa Brasil stands out for its direct digital management by the government.
Through a user-friendly online platform, beneficiaries can search and book flights with fares starting from R$ 200, as long as the purchase is made in advance and outside of peak season periods.
Step by step guide to using Voa Brasil
- Access the gov.br portal;
- Log in (silver or gold level);
- Access the official website;
- Enter the city of origin, destination, travel dates and click “search”;
- Select the desired flight;
- Fill in your personal details;
- Confirm reservation and payment.
Who is eligible for the program??
The program's target audience is:
- Retirees who receive up to two minimum wages;
- Students who have not flown in the last year.
Expectations and challenges of Voa Brasil:
The launch of the program is eagerly awaited, with the potential to promote social inclusion and democratize access to air transport.
However, the program also faces challenges, such as airline adherence to the initiative and users' flexibility in adapting their trips to the proposed conditions.
Voa Brasil marks an important first step in the democratization of air travel, demonstrating the government's commitment to facilitating access to essential services for all citizens.
The program was to be launched tomorrow, April 17th. However, it was postponed because of a trip by President Lula to Colombia. Therefore, the launch still has no set date to begin.
