Aiming to alleviate the economic hardships faced by many due to accumulated debts, the Desenrola Brasil program emerges as an innovative and beneficial solution. Launched by the federal government, this program aims to facilitate the renegotiation of electricity bill debts.
Thus, the initiative is offering discounts of up to 90% for citizens in default. The proposal, which is a partnership between the government and Neoenergia, one of the main energy suppliers in the Federal District, aims to serve approximately 80 thousand residents of the region who currently have debts with the company.

Discounts on electricity bills
The strategy adopted by Desenrola Brasil not only provides an opportunity for consumers to regularize their electricity bills, but also promotes greater awareness of the importance of responsible financial management.
In this way, beneficiaries of the program, who must meet specific criteria such as income of up to two minimum wages and registration with CadÚnico, will have the chance to pay off their debts in up to 60 installments. It is worth noting that the minimum installments are R$$ 50 and there is no need for a down payment.
This measure represents significant relief for many families, enabling them to regain control over their finances without the burden of mounting debt.
How to qualify for Desenrola Brasil?
To be eligible for the Desenrola Brasil program, interested parties must meet the pre-established requirements, such as:
- A family income of up to two minimum wages;
- Registration in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico);
- Have negative debts between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2022.
Thus, the inclusion of these criteria aims to ensure that aid reaches the families that need it most, strengthening the social and economic fabric of the affected communities.
Benefits beyond the discount
In addition to the discounts offered, the Desenrola Brasil program brings a series of indirect benefits, such as preventing the consumer's name from being included in defaulters' registers.
Thus, by enabling citizens to settle their debts in an accessible and fair manner, the program not only solves an immediate problem, but also contributes to building a more equitable and financially healthy society.
