Check out the February Gas Aid calendar

The payment of the Gas Aid, scheduled for February 2024, will follow the Bolsa Família calendar, continuing its bimonthly frequency. However, an important change is expected for the next edition of the benefit.

As announced by the government, the amount of the Gas Aid in February will be reduced to half the average price of a 13kg gas cylinder. This change will impact approximately 5.4 million Brazilian families, who are awaiting confirmation of the exact amount they will receive.

February installment amount

The exact amount of the Gas Aid for the year 2024 has not yet been officially established. However, it is expected to correspond to half of the amount previously granted to beneficiaries. In December, the calculation of the benefit was 100% of the average price of a 13kg gas cylinder in the country, totaling R$ 104.

It is important to remember that the Gas Aid reaches more than 5.4 million Brazilian families, being distributed every two months. Therefore, the last payment was made in December, generating expectations regarding the amount of the next installment.

How to avoid the suspension of Gas Aid?

Keeping information updated in the Single Registry for Social Programs (CadÚnico) is essential to avoid interruption of the Gas Aid. Thus, CadÚnico, under the administration of the federal government, serves as the main source of data to determine eligibility and make benefit payments.

Therefore, it is essential to carry out the necessary updates whenever there are changes in family composition, income or any other relevant data. This practice ensures continued access to Gas Assistance, promoting the effectiveness of social programs designed to assist families in vulnerable situations.
