Bolsa do Povo is a program of the government of the State of São Paulo, created in 2021, to assist low-income families who find themselves in poverty or extreme poverty. This comprehensive program supports more than 500,000 people in São Paulo, aiming to improve their living conditions and opportunities.

What is the People's Grant?
The program, as mentioned above, is an initiative that aims to centralize the management of several benefits, projects and actions, some with direct income transfer, for people in situations of social vulnerability. Therefore, the program includes Renda Cidadã, Bolsa Trabalho and Aluguel Social, among other benefits, and was instituted by Law No. 17,372.
Who is entitled to the benefit?
To qualify for Bolsa do Povo benefits, there are specific criteria for each program. Generally, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have resided in the state of São Paulo for more than two years, and be in situations such as homelessness or precarious housing, low professional qualifications, or informal employment. The amount of aid depends on the type of benefit, ranging from R$100.00 to R$2,400.00.
In addition, Bolsa do Povo SP brings together 15 benefits divided into areas such as work, social assistance, education, health, professional qualification, sports and qualification. Among them are:
- Youth Action;
- Gas Valley;
- People's Scholarship Students;
- Social Rent;
- Housing Assistance;
- Entrepreneurship Scholarship;
- SP Welcomes.
In other words, the benefit offers a wide range of support to different groups and needs. Whether through direct financial assistance, professional qualification programs or housing support, Bolsa do Povo SP seeks to offer a solid basis for the development and improvement of the quality of life of its beneficiaries.
