The state of Pará will receive more than 8 thousand units from the Minha Casa Minha Vida program

Last Wednesday (22) Helder Barbalho, governor of Pará, was present at the ceremony that marked the first stage of implementing Minha Casa Minha Vida. 

During the event, it was announced that the state of Pará will receive new units. Around 8,544 new homes will be for the state. See below for more details about the program.

New My Home My Life units

As mentioned before, Pará will receive more than 8 thousand Minha Casa Minha Vida units, but this will not be the only state, check it out:

  • São Paulo will receive 12,973 new units;
  • Maranhão will have 9,995 more homes;
  • Minas Gerais will receive 9,939 new units;
  • Bahia will have 11,454 more units under the program. 

It is worth noting that during the ceremony, President Lula emphasized that Minha Casa Minha Vida already has more than 6 million inhabitants and that the tendency is only to increase this number. 

According to the Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, in the coming weeks municipalities with less than 50 thousand inhabitants should also receive new housing.

Minha Casa Minha Vida is full of news, as it recently announced that beneficiaries of Family Allowance and BPC (Continuous Benefit Payment) are now exempt from paying the program installments. 

Furthermore, another great novelty is that now more people will be able to access the benefit, as the government is studying the possibility of increasing the program's income range by up to R$12,000.

The statement was made by Jader Filho, Minister of Cities, on November 7. So, check out the current income brackets: 

Urban areas

  • First band: monthly income of up to R$ 2,640;
  • Second band: monthly income from R$ 2,640.01 to R$ 4,400
  • Third band: monthly income from R$ 4,400.01 to R$ 8,000. 

Rural areas 

  • First band: annual income of up to R$31,680;
  • Second band: annual income from R$ 31,608.01 to R$ 52,800
  • Third band: annual income from R$ 52,800 to R$ 96,000.
