How to become a gold level on Gov.br

The Gov.br Portal is a website of the Federal Government that offers a wide variety of services to Brazilian citizens. Anyone can create an account on the platform using their CPF number and contact information such as cell phone number and email address.

However, there is an important detail about the Gov.br Portal. There are different account levels within it. An account can be bronze, silver or gold. The levels basically refer to the level of security of each account.

This means that gold level accounts are those with the highest level of protection. Those who have gold accounts on the platform will be able to use a wider range of services, due to the high reliability of their profile.

How to have a gold account at Gov.br

But after all, how is the classification of each account determined? The answer is simple: the level is assigned according to the account authentication method. In other words, the way the account is created will define its initial level.

For a gold level account, you need:

  • Create your account with facial recognition through the Gov.br app using data from the Electoral Court (TSE) as a basis;
  • Validate your data using the Gov.br application to read the QR Code on the National Identity Card (CIN);
  • Validate your data with a Digital Certificate compatible with ICP-Brasil.

How to increase the level of your Gov.br account

If you used an account creation method other than the ones listed above, your account will be at silver or bronze level. However, you can upgrade your account level after you have created it.

To do this, simply access the Gov.br application (for Android or to iOS). Log into your account and, on the app’s home screen, you will find the “Upgrade” option. Click on it and follow the platform’s other instructions.
