Bolsa Família (formerly Auxílio Brasil) is the federal government's national income transfer program. This program aims to assist families in vulnerable situations. However, there are some requirements to receive the benefit.
First of all, it is mandatory that all members of the family nucleus are registered in the Single Registry (abbreviated as CadÚnico); this is a registry that gathers information about citizens included in social programs throughout Brazil.
In addition to registering, it is also essential that all information in CadÚnico remains up to date. Failure to do so may result in the benefit being temporarily blocked.

How to register and update CadÚnico
You can register by going to a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in your city. The family leader (who will be responsible for registering the family) must bring with them identification documents for all residents of the house, as well as proof of residence.
You can then download the CadÚnico app (Android or iOS) to make queries or update data. Remember that some data modifications must also be made in CRAS.
Through the app, it is also possible to issue a receipt and register in the Single Registry.
