Who is entitled to withdraw FGTS?
The method in question is the FGTS anniversary withdrawal. It allows workers born in a given month to access a portion of their funds annually. For example, those who celebrate their birthday in November can request the withdrawal from the beginning of the month until the end of January of the following year.
It is important to note that opting for this modality implies giving up the withdrawal-termination, with the possibility of reversing this choice only after two years.
How do I access the Anniversary Withdrawal?
To join the birthday withdrawal, interested parties must wait until the month of their birthday. From there, it is possible to access the application of the FGTS and select this option. The amount available for withdrawal varies according to the account balance.
Furthermore, the amount follows a rate table, which determines the percentage of the balance that the worker can withdraw, plus an additional amount depending on the total amount.
Understanding the FGTS Anniversary Withdrawal
The FGTS Anniversary Withdrawal is a method of partial withdrawal of funds accumulated in the Service Time Guarantee Fund (FGTS) that allows workers to access part of the balance available in the FGTS account once a year, in the month of their birthday.
This option was introduced as an alternative to traditional cashout, offering more flexibility and access to resources for workers.
By opting for the Anniversary Withdrawal, the worker can withdraw a percentage of the balance in his/her FGTS account annually, with an additional fixed installment, the value of which varies according to the total accumulated in the account.
It is important to highlight that, when choosing this modality, the worker gives up the right to withdraw the total balance of the account in case of dismissal without just cause, keeping only the termination fine of 40%.
