If you like it a lot travel, this could be a great opportunity: using your FGTS balance to buy packages. This is because CVC announced that it will pay for trips using funds from the advance withdrawal of FGTS funds.
It is worth noting that CVC is the first travel company to make this payment method available to its customers. See below for all the details about this new feature!
How will this FGTS payment method work?
The interested party must go to a CVC agency with the app. Box installed on your device. Then, it will be possible to anticipate the FGTS anniversary withdrawal to purchase the complete package. It is possible to combine this method with another form of payment, if the customer wishes.
It is worth noting that the company only accepts the anniversary withdrawal option, so think carefully before changing. This is because if you change your withdrawal option to this option, you will not be able to access all of your FGTS funds in the event of unfair dismissal.
About the initiative
It is important to highlight that this CVC initiative is a partnership with Banco Digio, a Bradesco institution. Thus, the main focus is to make people's access to travel democratic, considering that the FGTS is a resource that most Brazilians have access to.
Another objective of the company is to improve sales and expand the customer base, given that there was a drop after the Covid-19 pandemic.
FGTS anniversary withdrawal
The FGTS has two modalities, the termination withdrawal, which gives the worker the right to withdraw the total amount from the account, including the termination fine, in cases of dismissal without just cause.
The anniversary withdrawal, which was introduced in 2019, allows the worker to withdraw an annual portion of the balance in the FGTS account in the month of their birthday. Thus, the amount can vary between 5% and 50% of the sum of all the balances in the worker's FGTS accounts, with an additional amount related to the balance.
Furthermore, in cases of unfair dismissal, the worker is unable to withdraw the full amount from the account.
