The Secrecy Institute recently announced a portal to verify the data of beneficiaries of the former Auxílio Brasil. It is important to note that many people who received the benefit had their data leaked and will now be able to receive R$ 15 thousand.
This amount refers to compensation for the victims of the case, since they had sensitive data such as CPF, name and address exposed. See below for more details about the compensation.
R$ 15 thousand compensation from Auxílio Brasil
In September of this year, the Federal Court ordered a payment of R$15,000 to all people who suffered from the data leak. Brazil Aid. Despite this determination, the measure may be subject to possible legal appeals.
Therefore, even if this determination is made, there is no guarantee that the beneficiaries will actually receive the amount. However, it is possible to check whether you are entitled to the money through the portal.
When you access the page, simply click on the option “Check if I am eligible” and enter your name, CPF, telephone number and email.
When will I receive the amount?
As mentioned before, there is no guarantee that people will receive the money, although the Secrecy Institute highlights that the chances of success are good. Since this is a legal process, it is important to note that it may take some time until you receive the payment.
Furthermore, if the compensation is maintained, the citizen must seek enforcement of the sentence when the process ends, with the help of a lawyer.
According to the Secrecy Institute, around 471,000 people will be eligible to receive compensation, meaning that everyone has been through the same situation. However, the institute did not reveal how it obtained access to this data.
Therefore, the organization's objective is to contact the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) to register lawyers who can offer assistance to those requesting compensation.
